Review: Mac Cremesheen Lipstick Crosswires

Here's a quick review about Mac Crosswires Cremesheen lipstick. But first let me tell you why I chose this shade among any other available color.

First it has this peachy orange tinge with a hint of soft pink as undertone. I've read good reviews about it as its considered a safe shade for starters. Its less bold than Mac Vegas Volt.

Since Asian skin can pull off shades of coral, might as well try this as my very first coral tone lippy.

I was too giddy to try it and share the results with you guys so here are my 'no filter' shots for you.

Take a look at my bare lips. Its a bit pigmented and dry but its not flaky. Hahaha

I took this away from the window light.

This one is facing the window. It looks very natural.

I usually dab petroleum jelly on my lips before I glide a lipstick on it.

But once I tried applying the lippy without petroleum jelly to see if it alters the color and texture. Actually even without the vaseline it glides easily and the color is bolder and darker and it kinda lasts longer, but I noticed it has a drying effect on me.

The pictures above are with petroleum jelly as base and these ones are without.

It has shimmering effect and its very suitable on my skin tone. I look and feel fresh this summer because of this shade! :)

Let me know what you think?

Review: MAC Cosmo Amplified Cream Lipstick

I'm not really into brownish nude pink lippy shade but when I saw a swatch from Mac's so called 'Pink Coco' I was smitten by bits.

Its an amplified cream with a very rich and buttery finish. It is easy to apply and has this very sweet smelling vanilla scent.

This is actually my first bullet from Mac, I also purchase Mac Crosswires and I can't wait to make another review on it. But anyway, I've read lots and lots of review before I decided to purchase my very first lippy online.

They said this shade matches every skin tone. I am from South East Asia where warm, yellowish undertone and olive skin is very common. I myself is a so called "morena" as my skin is cooked just right to perfection, not over or under cook. Hahahaha just kidding!

So this is my 'very' bare face without make up and lipstick.

Tadahhh! And this is what Mac Cosmo looks like on me. I took a pic just in front of the window.

I say it looks nice on me. It actually brightened up my face and looks quite enhancing. It wasn't drying and it lasted for 2 hours after eating and drinking. But all in all I'm really happy with the shade! :)

What about you? What do you think? :)
Leave your comments below and I'll talk to you later! Bye! :)

Experience the PROS & CONS of Online Shopping

I've been into online shopping for about two years now. At times I buy something that catches my attention on a weekly basis. Whenever my package will arrive right in front of our house my mom will look at me with a strange expression, sometimes she'll get mad coz she think Im spending too much and that I need to stop and save my money for needs and not wants.

I admit I have a tendency to be an impulsive buyer. When Im depressed due to PMS or I need something to cheer me up I browse and click buy at once not even thinking twice if the dress will fit on me or I might not even look good on it. I believe its not healthy but I still do it anyway.

When Multiply closed down this year I was sad and disappointed coz I have a lot of things that i still want to buy and I can easily purchase without the hassle of paying over the counter or thru money transfers. I just have to do a few clicks on my internet banking and then wait for my package to arrive at my doorstep. My paypal account isnt verified yet, I dont know if I'll be thankful about that or not. At ebay I see a lot of clothes at international sellers and I cant make a purchase coz they only accept paypal as their mode of payment. So maybe if my paypal is working, I've been buying things every now and then. Haha!

Fortunately my boyfriend is so sweet and generous that he will buy me things that i want online thru his visa debit card. And now that his paypal is verified he's willing to use it for me but he said that he will be in control that not everything I ask will be granted. Haha! His recent purchase for me are two mac lippies Ive been dying to have. He bought it direct from US at ebay. (I'll make a review about it once they arrive) I am a lucky girlfriend. ❤❤❤

I bought 3 of these clothes online, the other two were gifts from my mom. Maxi dress, peplum top, crochet lace bodycon dresses and floral dress. I had all of these in one week.

Ive been crazy in love with this crochet lace bodycon dress since last year. It costs Php 750 to Php 1000 at other online sellers then I just browse it over ebay and found it at Php 550 Brand New without tag. :) Its the details that caught me since I'm fond of crochet and laces and embroidered work on clothes. I find it very catchy and unique.

For readers out there who havent tried online shopping yet. I'll give you the plus points as well as the disadvantages of online shopping. ^.^

The advantages of online shopping: (according to my experience)

1. Its easy, energy and time saving.
2. You can browse for similar items and compare prices.
3. You can buy the item that youve been saving for at a lower price. (Just be patient and continue browsing)
4. You can find rare and unique items even limited edition things that aren't usually sold inside shopping malls and bazaars.
5. Some sellers will give you freebies such as accessories or product samples.
6. You can purchase items that arent available in your country or in your place.
7. It is cost effective.
8. It can be a form of relaxation. Sometimes just browsing photos alleviate stress.
9. You can choose among the following mode of payments that are 100% safe and secured.
10. Free shipping and combined shipping are accepted depending on the product listings. You can also enjoy items that are on sale, bid for it or just watch the item until you're finally decided to purchase it.
11. The excitement it brings the moment you receive your package. Your extreme curiosity on what the actual product looks like! (In my case I am smiling with glee from the moment I laid hands on the parcel. It is like Im opening another gift on Christmas Day, yes that kind of feeling! Haha!) :)
12. You can adjust your criteria to narrow down your search for the item that you want. Eg. Free shipping, price ranges, location, etc..etc..

Disadvantages: (not all of the following had occurred to me.)
1. Pictures are sometimes deceiving. (Seeing the dress elegantly worn by a model conviced you that it is worth your penny and there you are looking totally washed out the moment your in front of the mirror wearing the same dress.)
2. At times product description is inaccurate and or somewhat exaggerated. (Blame it to marketing strategies.)
3. Wrong items sent or item didn't arrived at your doorstep after the long agony of waiting.
4. Yes you bought it at a cheaper rate but the quality is a big disappointment.
5. Delivery of the Items might take longer than expected. (Especially if its purchased overseas, customs checking takes a while)
6. Shipping fee is a bit expensive on my part.
7. Product might arrive with damages that may be due to improper handling during the shipment process or the seller didn't consider packing your items carefully.
8. You just end up buying a fake or conterfeit item. (Dont just rely on the picture that was copied at google, ask for actual shots of the item, including tags, serial number and so forth)
9. You trusted a bogus seller. (it is necessary to buy at secure online shopping sites. Take time to read the sellers recent feedbacks, whether positive or negative. You will eventually realize the seller's weaknesses and strengths and then its up to you to decide.)
10. Product is unavailable or its already sold out. (It is important to ask the seller the availability of the product because there are times that the quantity of the items arent updated, or the seller might also be selling outside)

I know in every actions that we do there will be equivalent effects whether it is positive or negative. For me, if you're happy on what youre doing just keep it up. Make sure it wont affect anything that you value and care the most. Discipline and Self control are needed once you've been hooked by the influence of online shopping. If you consider yourself a mature individual in the world of technology, then give this experience a try. You'll never know whats in store for you! Til next time!

Ciao! ❤❤❤💋

Overrated or underrated? EOS Lip Balms Review

Since high school I've been fond of putting something on my lips such as lip tints, lip gloss and lip balms specially if they are flavored and their scents is fruity and inviting. My lips arent always chapped or dry, but seeing a cute lip balm in a department store makes me wanna purchase it in each different colors and flavors. I stopped using lip gloss since college coz a friend once teased me, asking if I ate something oily. Okay, glossy is different from oily looking though I know shes just kidding I still opted to switch to lip tints that can look more natural as if you were born with a kissable cherry red lips. Unfortunately the first lip tint I bought tastes so bad that I can't tolerate using it everyday and that made me stick to lip balms until now.

I like lip balms with cooling effect on the lips the moment you applied it. Its kinda refreshing for me. I like Maybelline's cool mint lip balms as well as Maybelline's Baby lips lip balm. Im the type of person who consume the whole balm before buying another flavor of the same brand but sometimes if there are new balms out in the market I am easily persuaded. So when I heard how EOS lip balms are making girls buy a dozen of them with different flavors and I became curious and hit on ebay at once.

EOS lip balm claims that it "is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, eos keeps your lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth."

  • Long-lasting moisture
  • Shea butter & vitamin E
  • Smoothes on clear
  • Precisely glides on lips
  • Gluten-free
  • Paraben-free
  • Petrolatum-free
  • Phthalate-free
See how paraben free products comes out from the market nowadays since it was link to cancer. Anyway, I bought my authentic sphere and stick Eos lip balms at ebay for Php 200 each unlike other online sellers their price ranges from Php 250-300 each balms.

My package arrived at my doorstep 2 days after I purchased it on Ebay and it was carefully packed in a bubble wrap! I squealed with delight at the thought of popping the bubble wrap after taking my balms out of it.

I bought a sphere of Honeysuckle Honeydew and a stick of Sweet Mint. See how cute they are. The colors are my favorite shades ever! Im a happy kid! I actually picked them because of their color not their flavor! :)

I have a habbit of putting on petroleum jelly on my lips before going to sleep, and this time I tried the sweet mint eos lip balm instead. I was so excited! At first swipe its all minty and cool on the lips which I like plus it tastes good!! I applied a lot on my lips thinking that the more I put the longer the cooling sensation.  Haha!:) It isn't heavy on the lips as if youre not wearing anything plus it glides smoothy. It lasts for at least 2-4 hours and you can still taste its sweetness even after eating or drinking. I'll surely use it before painting my lips with a matte lipstick. Although I noticed when it wears off, my lips would appear dry and wrinkled. Since I live in a tropical country this is very unusual to happen. Maybe it doesn't moisturize that effectively as compared to my trusted petroleum jelly. That was the down side of my experience with EOS Lip balm. I mean in my opinion, it doesn't matter if it tastes good or it is packed adorably, what matters for me is its power to keep your lips moisturized even after it wears off. In short, EOS Lip balms doesn't offer long lasting effects on the lips. It is kindda disappointing. :( Maybe I was blinded by some overrated reviews about it, or maybe I'm just fond of organic and all natural products that's why I set my expectations high about this product. This lip balm isn't made for me I think? I will just consume the sweet mint and maybe I'll just give the honeysuckle honeydew to my sister. I was even looking forward to buy other flavors and collect the sphere containers in different colors and use it for Easter egg hunting! Each color corresponds to number of points. Haha! That would be fun, unfortunately I am not gonna purchase it again. I'll try a different lip balm that suits me well. I hope this review helps and to those who are suffering from dry lips! Just an advice, hydrate yourself with water at least 12 glasses a day and maybe you can try putting petroleum jelly on your lips? I think its long lasting and more effective than EOS lip balm. Kbye. x

April 8, 2014: Hello there my dearest readers! Just an update. I've been using EOS lip balm since I wrote this review but I will definitely end my term with it due to sensitivity reaction that developed overtime. There were tiny bumps around my lips that are itchy and burning making my lips look red and swollen. I've read a few threads online and indeed, there were women like me who suffered from it as well, with the same signs and symptoms. :(

Its so sad that an all natural and organic ingredients can actually cause a sensitivity reaction. :( I am honestly disappointed.

I hope none of you will experience this.

Please take care you all!

North bound 2013 Vacation! :)

I am not really the adventurous type. I get scared easily. I am afraid of heights. I cant swim. I am unable to relax on a long drive because of a previous vehicular accident I had a year ago. I pray and pray continuosly whatever means of transportation I'm into-- a car, a boat or a plane name it! I wasnt like this before. I am carefree, happy go lucky type of girl. But one thing hasnt change, my love for nature will forever be in my heart defeating all my fears and inhibition, coz we only live once, I wanna make it last. I wont let my worries to rule my world. So let me share you my summer vacation that I wont ever forget. :)

April this year my boyfriend and his family had a vacation here in the Philippines. Theyre from Australia and they want to explore other places that they havent been into. Lucky me, I was invited to join their 4 days 3 nights trip bound to North of Luzon. <3

His family loves taking pictures. While Im not really fond of striking a pose behind a breathtaking landscape, they were able to convince me to join their family picture! (Blush) (Shy)

Our first stop is at Baguio City. Just 3 hours away from Tarlac City. We headed north at 4am and arrived there at 7am.:) We visited the tree top adventure at Camp John Hay unfortunately it is time consuming because we have to be in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur before dusk.

We left Baguio City past 1pm via Naguilian Road. We arrived at Vigan City at 5pm. We didnt have long stop overs except bladder breaks. :) We stayed at Hotel Ilocana (if Im not mistaken). It is in front of Vigan City Plaza just beside Greenwich fastfood chain. It was a nice and cozy place to stay after long hours of drive on the road. It is clean and people are friendly. At night we went shopping and sight seeing at the famous Calle Crisologo, where I find the experience as nostalgic, I imagined myself wearing "baro't saya" while walking. I literally went back in time through the walls of old houses and pavements.:)

Me looking haggard as ever. My boyfriend in gray polo and his brother in black shirt. :)

Morning of April 3, I woke up fully rested and fresh from a hot shower. :) We all had a free breakfast at the hotel dinning area wherein we waited at least an hour for our food to be served. Wifi is also poor in the hotel and Im dying to check my facebook and update my status. Haha! So after checking out we headed to a place called "Baluarte" where you can see many animals roaming around and you can take pictures with them. Entrance is free. :)

And this is me feeling like a human butterfly. Haha! :)

We didnt take long to lavish our time at Baluarte. We headed to our next destination-- Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. I think its 6-7 hours away from Vigan City. I didnt take note of the time. And besides we visited some tourist spots a long the way. :) First stop is the house of the Marcos Family where Former President Ferdinand Marcos' cadaver is in display for public viewing. Taking pictures is prohibited. Next stop is at the Malacañang of the North where the first family (the Marcos) lived. The house is built where you can appreciate the view of the sea since its elevated. Entrance fee is 15 pesos per head.

Striking a pose at their grand staircase.

This is at the entrance of the house. :)

We also saw the historical Paoay Church but I havent had the opportunity to take a picture and besides it wasnt my first time to see the church's unfaded beauty. So instead of taking a picture on the actual church I saw this painting inside the Malacañang house and striked a pose.

My boyfriend's "angas" pose.:) This is at Former President's study room. Its classic and cozy inside.

We had a late lunch at Max's Restaurant in Laoag City then continued our butt sweating trip to Pagudpud. On the way you will pass by Bangui, Ilocos Norte where the windmills are slowly rotating their blade like propeller. You can buy souvenirs of miniature windmills along the way. :)

Yes, this shot was taken at 3 in the afternoon! Scorching hot since its summer! I dont wear any sunblock. Yes Im not afraid of getting tanner coz Im naturally born tan. But yeah I forgot that in two weeks I will be attending my cousins wedding. Good luck with that.

Jumpshot. Weeeee...

At last welcome to Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. Hmm well honestly, it was a nice place but it failed to exceed my expectation. I had fun though, specially when we were trying to catch big waves while swimming with a lot of seaweeds that tangles around my legs each time. But fortunately I had my piggy back ride during a walk towards nowhere and I slept on the car for the first time. Don't ask me, I had a terrible back pain afterwards plus lots of mosquito bites! :(

You can actually do surfing here as the waves are constantly high. :)

This is Pagudpud's amazing sunset. :)

We left Pagudpud past 9am of April 4.  But before anything else we also went to check this rock formation shaped like a table or something along Ilocos Norte. It was a rough road going there and we passed by a stall offering an adventure package such as sand boarding and the like.

Yes that is the white rock formation behind us. Haha! After our short visit here, we headed straight to our last destination-- Alaminos City, Pangasinan. We will go island hopping at the so called Hundred Islands.

We spent the whole day on the road. I always check my butt to make sure I havent gotten any pressure sores yet (seriously). Past 8 in the evening, we arrived at Dagupan City, Pangasinan where we decided to eat our dinner at Silverio's. It offers variety of cuisines that can satisfy your appetite plus the sea side ambiance is so relaxing. There is also a live band playing. I did enjoyed my food even though I lost my appetite due to exhaustion. The band played good songs and it was really relaxing! A Complete entertainment indeed specially the band that played reggae and do some funny stunts whenever they receive  a tip from a happy customer. :)

Shot at Silverio's Sea Side Restaurant. :)

At 10 we continued our endless drive and at 12 midnight (sigh) finally were in Alaminos City, Pangasinan. We just had a few delays coz were looking for a good place to sleep after long hours on the road. We stayed at Romanz Garden Inn. I was fully rested and excited to go home as I woke up morning of April 5. We had a sumptuous breaky provided by the inn. After that We headed straight to the port where we will ride a boat for our island hopping and snorkeling adventure. We made sure we had our packed lunch ready coz there arent any available eatery in there. We spent the whole day swimming, snorkeling, sight seeing and having fun under the sun which made my skin go darker than ever.

This is at Governor's Island where you will hike to reach the top and take quality pictures overlooking other small islands nearby. :)

And this is my haggard face after eating our lunch at Children's Island. I am wearing my boyfriend's oversized jersey. :)

This is him, excited to jump and have fun snorkeling with his dad and brother.

Finally our picture together on a crazy boat ride going back to the port. :)

To sum it all up, this trip is one of the best trip that I will treasure and remember for ages. Basically it was tiring, but the fun that goes in each adventure is definitely an energy booster! Hope you can visit these places and enjoy yourself as much as I enjoyed mine! Till my next sharing! Bye! :)

Puerto Princesa, Palawan Philippines

This is my first time to blog. I was having a hard time on what to post that can capture the interests of readers, and I came up with my unforgettable adventure trip and hopefully it will inspire you to visit this particular place in the Philippines soon.

Actually this trip happened a year ago of November. My mom booked our package tour at a particular agency two months earlier. Since we live in Tarlac City, Diosdado Macapagal International Airport is a better choice for us instead of NAIA Terminal 1 since it is just 45 minutes drive and it isn't crowded unlike other domestic airports in Manila.

I can't believe I am afraid of riding planes. I think this fact is a delayed realization for me. It wasn't my first time, but I don't know what gotten into me the moment I sat down my legs are shaking uncontrollably , and it grew worse when we took off and when we were about to land. I think it is because of fear and the very cold air conditioning inside AirPhil Express. My fault coz Im wearing something that looks like Im ready to hit the beach.

This is me with my mom's friend from Australia, Tita Ivette at the waiting area in DMIA.

This is Puerto Princesa Airport with my little sister, my mom and her friend. Thank God I was able to capture a decent shot even if I am still suffering after shocks from my shaking syndrome inside the plane.

And so our itinerary started and this is our Day 1. We checked in at Corazon's Hotel and Inn located in the city proper. We started our city tour at exactly 1pm. These are some of our pictures.

Mitra's Ranch with the three of us.

Baker's Hill where you can eat and buy souvenirs as well.

Crocodile Farm

Day 2 is purely Island Hopping. Our guide debriefed us on the way that if we want to go snorkeling we can rent some snorkeling gears at a reliable shop where the gears are sterilized properly after use. You can also rent an underwater cover for your digital camera to capture pictures underwater. Sadly, if you're bringing your DSLR camera, you have to protect it from strong water waves that crashes the boat on the way, since the store doesn't have any cover protection for it.

I think we went to 3 or 4 islands that day. Our first stop is at Pambato Reef where we went snorkeling for the first time. There is a so called LULI Island meaning "lulubog lilitaw", it vanishes during high tide and appears on a low tide. Pandan Island is where we had our lunch prepared by our very kind tourist guide.

The three of us yet again.

Underwater shots while snorkeling

A shot of me c/o our diving guide

With our snorkeling gears on

Me and Kaye at Pandan Island

Our lunch prep by our very kind tourist guide (delicious)

Day 3 is our last day and it is in the famous Underground River which was proclaimed as one of the 7 Wonders of the World. From City proper, we have to ride at least 2 and a half hour going to Sabang Station. After we arrived, our tour guide queued our trip, made us sign  a waiver for environmental purposes and get the number of our boat since we have to ride at least 45 minutes to reach the corner of the mountain where the underground river lies. There were a lot of tourists, both locals and foreigners waiting while others were buying souvenirs. The sea possesses big crashing waves that's why swimming is prohibited and for me that sight is frightening. The moment I sat down on the boat, I instantly felt sea sick. I harnessed myself snugly on my orange life vest and faced big crashes of waves that made me grip on the boat too tight that my hands turned white. By the way, while I was still on the boat I noticed a zip line stationed above the mountain that slides across the sea all the way down the station that we've been to, similar to Hanna's Resort Zip line in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

Stop over to take pictures along the way

Limestone formation

A decent shot of me

About to enter the cave

I can't seem to find the wooded sign board of PPUR so I settled with this tarpaulin instead

Plane ride bound HOME.. Do I look calm here? Hell no.

Touch down Clark. Empty airport.

So to sum it up, this trip is one unforgettable memory for me. I wasn't that adventurous, but I am open to new explorations and experiences ahead of me. Though I have a lot of fears, conquering them is one of my goal. Surely, Palawan got a special place in my heart. From virgin forests, good food, nice beaches although big crashing waves on boat rides frightens me a  lot, nice and kind people, cheap  souvenirs and a wonderful trip on a river underground exceeds the value of your money. So visit Palawan soon! I hope the next time I'll be there, I'm with my boyfriend and we will conquer Coron and El Nido, Palawan. ^.^

Ciao! <3
